Who is your role model?

Since I was a little girl I have always flipped through Vouge and Teen Vouge and have always adored the glossy covers filled with beautiful clothing and models whom look too good to be real people. When I was fifteen I idolized many of the models within these types of magazines and wanted to be just like them. Living the lives that they have floating around the world wearing only the best of garments that money can buy and having bautiful photographs of themselves in magazines. However, as time has gone on and I have grown to realize that many of the models are unhappy with themselves, so much so that they go to endless strengths to be thin. The latest to own up to staving and dieting to reach the thought of "the perfect size" to wear haute couture which is a negative size 0, is models Andrej Pejic and Daphne Guinnes. Both of whom I have adored watching them walk in previous New York and Paris fashion weeks. I now realize that having a fashion model as a role model is far from something so great and that I aspire to be, instead more girls should lookup and aspire to people like Angela Merkel one of forbes most powerful women, she is the undisputed leader of the EU, all while enjoying being a fashionista. These type of women need to be in the glossy covered magazines showing little girls that fashion is not all about being thin but also about being educated and a leader in what you feel most important. Who is your role model? xo CC
Daphne Guinnes, says, eating isnt worth the feeling thin gives you. Being happy with yourself is the best feeling in the world!
