The Life of a city PA- Secrets Exposed

Mimco sale!!!!!!!
So if you don't already know, or you have hit up the sale already... I have two words for you, Mimco Sale... Yes loves Mimco is having their sale and yes my weekend saw me spend half my pay cheque on a few bags, how often does Mimco go on sale?!?! Well, that's my excuse anyway, and every girl deserves a bag, clutch, wallet and tote that makes her happy! And yes I will be checking my post box every day this week like a little school girl excited to receive a letter.

However, the financial state of my after Mimco sale excitement has hit me hard. My credit card was charged because of my dwindling saving account. Between, rent, food, transport, repayments, phone bill and designing clothing and my "out of the blue" late night spending sprees there isn't much left over to put into my saving account. So I am sitting here going through the fact that I need to save money. I think many of you are feeling that same. That dream apartment in the CBD isn't going to buy itself neither is my dream Audi, Range Rover or BMW.

So, I am vowing to you that I will not have any more of my crazy lady online or in store purchases. I will only buy items that are needed not wanted for a whole three months. My boyfriend thinks I have no chance and will crack over the weekend when walking through the Woolloongabba antique store. I am also cutting down on buying lunch at work, I will prepare it, maybe even loose some weigh by eating healthier. And I am saying goodbye to buying my two cups of coffee and have limited myself to one Suite Commuter Coffee on the way to work every morning.

So this is my vow to you for three months I am going to be a smart saver. Join me if you dare! Would love to hear your simple ways to save a dollar, a girl that saves is a girl that has brains!Share your thoughts on facebook!

Bright Lights- How to add colour

Exchange black for pink!

Detailed and bright how can you not love it!

Loving these Jeffrey's for Winter.

Is your wardrobe looking more drab than FAB? Here are some simple tips to brighten up your life.

The little black dress? Yes an LBD is a amazing staple to be had in every women's wardrobe. However, there's no rule that says you can't veer into a pretty bright color occasionally ( remember theres a time and a place).

Hot pink makes for a gorgeous little black dress substitute. Just keep details to a minimum (brights look best in minimal shapes) and go easy on the accessories to let the dress take center stage. You want to look ah-mazing not over the top.

For a more economical approach add bright accessories, a bright clutch or bracelets are always show stoppers and you can snag these item up at amazing prices. Markets are great!

Brights and black? At times it is cringe worthy and makes you wonder if the person got dressed in the dark other times the right bright with black looks chic. It's no longer frowned upon as being "too '80s." Cobalt and black is one of our favorite looks. And black tights with bright blue shoes has been a runaway hit.

As any girl I love shoes and have been in love affair with shoes for many years. Perfect to liven up any outfit with a pair of bright shoes. For cooler weather -- and a trendy look -- you can pair bright shoes with black tights; wear bright shoes with bare legs in warmer weather.

A Minute to Think About Media

So the collection is complete and the website is nearly done, so the next step is PR! I'm using the talents of Toni-Maree's fabulous marketing chick to send out press releases and advise me on which editors and magazines to target.

A couple of weeks ago we received the wrong order of the famous thongs. We received 100 pairs of men's size 9 instead of women's! Whoops! So Toni-Maree had the bright idea to send a media kit with some samples of the range to the Brisbane gay magazine, Q News to offer them a free pair of thongs when they like my facebook page. They were very interested, so just waiting to hear back from them!

I've also sent out press releases to national, local and suburban publications. I've got one call back from City News requesting high res images - it looks like big things are about to happen!

Until next time
